Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, 200hrs
Amyre Barker began practicing yoga as a college freshman to relieve stress and to prevent running injuries. She continues practicing yoga because it's fun and it helps her stay grounded while living and working in the stress-filled nation's capital. Her goal for teaching is to introduce people to the power of yoga to heal our bodies on the mat and our interactions with each other off the mat. Amyre designs her classes to be welcoming to all, especially beginners. Incorporating elements of vinyasa flow and alignment-focused traditions, Amyre invites students to join breath and movement while learning the foundations of each pose.
Amyre completed her yoga training at Willow Street Yoga Center.
