Prenatal Partner Workshop

Join us on this journey of parenthood where you'll connect with your partner and baby, move and meditate and grow your toolbox of knowledge for pregnancy and childbirth. We will explore how to support each other with this hands-on workshop through various stretches, restorative poses along with breathing techniques to calm discomfort in the body and mind. This workshop is appropriate for expectant mothers at any stage of pregnancy and their partners.
You will learn:

- Yoga postures to help alleviate common discomforts like back and hip pain, leg cramps, and sciatica
- Breathing and relaxation techniques to be used during pregnancy, labor, and life as parents
- Massage techniques to aid in pain relief throughout pregnancy and during various stages of labor and delivery
-Exercises to help with postpartum recovery including strengthening the elusive pelvic floor

A foundation in yoga is recommended but not required. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Cost is $65 and space is limited to 6 couples. A minimum of two couples must be enrolled or the workshop will not be held. 

Maria has 200 hours of yoga training and 85 hours in prenatal yoga, is CPR/first aid trained and is a professional Doula.  She is currently pursuing her 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in DC and working towards her degree in Therapeutic Massage (LMT).  She also offers private classes for mom + birth partners to support mom before, during, and after labor.
