Caitlin has been practicing yoga for over ten years and started teaching prenatal yoga in Monterey, CA after taking a training under Hannah Muse at the Mt Madonna yoga sanctuary and ashram in Santa Cruz, CA. In addition to yoga, she also teaches the Birth Chemistry childbirth education series, is a certified doula and an Evidence Based Birth® instructor. She has attended over 35 births and taught over 75 couples. Caitlin's prenatal yoga class focuses on the idea that pregnant mamas benefit from breath and flexibility practice, strength and body awareness, building a community with other women, and knowledge and education about pregnancy, labor and postpartum recovery. Each of her classes includes breath work, a mini childbirth education class on a different topic every week, strength building asanas, and a concluding visualization meditation. She is knowledgeable about pelvic floor rehabilitation and preparation as well as diastasis support and prevention. She is passionate about birth and believes a yoga practice will benefit all types of birthing people and birthing experiences.
